Academy-Award winning actor Matt Damon is the latest one in a series of celebrities who has come put to show his support for Donald Trump, saying that the President has “a lot of work cut out for him” and suggested that the citizens of the U.S. needed to start “rooting for him.”
The actor was previously a strong supporter of Hillary’s and opposed Trump on several issues, one of them being immigration. Damon says that he thinks President Trump’s increasing awareness that he hold’s the position as one of the most important figures on the planet will compel him to take his job seriously.
National Insider Politics reported: “First of all, I wish him well and we all must. A successful American president is good for all of us and we really have to be rooting for him right now.” Damon said. “Obviously, it’s no secret that I didn’t vote for him. And yeah, I think there is a sense of we are heading into new territory here. He is obviously not a career politician, he has been very occupied with his own business interest, which are relatively narrow given the scope of what a president actually has to deal with, so I imagine he is really working hard right now to master so many sectors. He’s just got a lot of work cut out for him.”
Different celebrities have also come in support of Trump, some of which are Kanye West, Clint Eastwood, Kristie Alley, Stephen Baldwin, and Jon Voight.
